Inside Look at Mickey's Halloween Party
Hey everyone, it’s me Chase (@Imagineerinsta) and today I will be telling you about my top 5 can’t-miss offerings at Mickey’s Halloween Party! I recently attended the party taking over Visit Anaheim’s Instagram account and loved every second of it. Today I am able to share even more with you all.
It’s not often you get to dress up and trick-or-treat around Disneyland so it’s no surprise this has made my list of things to do. Throughout the park there are various trick-or-treat trails offering many opportunities to fill up a bag of your favorite candy. Along with sweets Disney is also offering healthy snacks such as apple slices and carrots as well. My favorite trail however is located in Tomorrowland. This trail has multiple candy stops and is somewhat indoors, so the air conditioning is definitely a plus. Along with collecting candy, walking through these treat trails is a perfect time to see other people’s amazing costumes. Some people truly go all out and it is very exciting to see.
Haunted Mansion Holiday
Jumping right in, I wanted to start with Haunted Mansion Holiday. Unlike the original Haunted Mansion attraction, Jack, Sally and the rest of the Nightmare Before Christmas crew have decked the halls to show us what happens when two holidays collide. The entire mansion has received a Halloween/Christmas overlay and let me just say, it is fantastic! Another great thing about Haunted Mansion Holidays is that it is open from October to December so it is not exclusive to the Halloween Party. Haunted Mansion Holiday absolutely should not be missed.
Next is the various characters roaming Disneyland during the Halloween Party. These characters include Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Maleficent, Gaston, Jack, Sally and many other Halloween Friends. These character meet and greets are very special since many of the villains don’t meet regularly at the Disneyland Resort. This may be the only opportunity you get to meet some of your favorite Disney Villains so make sure to take advantage!
Halloween Screams - A Villainous Surprise in the skies is a very unique firework show including castle projections, amazing audio and great pyrotechnics. With only one showing during each party it is crucial that you plan to see this spooktacular show. Watching my favorite Disney villains take over the skies was one of my favorite parts of the party. From Maleficent to Oogie Boogie, these villains sure know how to light up the sky. My favorite part of this show, however, was watching Jack’s dog Zero fly across the sky. Disney really does go all out on these firework shows and hearing the crowd roar with applause proved it was worth it.
Frightfully Fun Parade
My number one thing to see at Mickey’s Halloween Party by far is the Frightfully Fun Parade. This parade kicks off with the Headless Horseman galloping down Main Street USA. Following Ichabod and the Horseman come our favorite mice, Mickey and Minnie dressed in their Halloween best. Mickey and Minnie lead a train of other characters in a truly amazing parade with a villainous finale. This parade does have two show times which makes it a little bit easier to catch. I strongly suggest seeing the second showing if possible. The streets are a lot less crowded making it much easier to find a curbside seat.
While these are just my top 5 offerings at Mickey’s Halloween Party there is so much more to experience. From Living Scarecrows to Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. Mickey sure knows how to throw a Halloween Party. I hope this guide has helped you plan your night of fright at Mickey’s Halloween Party! I am so thankful Visit Anaheim allowed me to visit the party and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!
